NVQ/ SVQ Hairdressing Level 2 Print E-mail

This is a part time course and the aim is provide a firm foundation for gaining all the skills and knowledge you’ll need for a career in Hairdressing.

NVQ Level 2 Qualifications can be achieved in both African and European hair types.

Course Contents

 

  • Ensure your Own Actions Reduce Risks to Health & Safety
  • Give Clients a Positive Impression of Yourself and Your Organization
  • Advise and Consult with Clients
  • Shampoo and Condition Hair and Scalp
  • Style, Dress and Finish Hair Using Basic Techniques
  • Cut Hair Using Basic Techniques
  • Change Hair Colour Using Basic Techniques
  • Perm and Neutralise Hair Using Basic Techniques
  • Develop and Maintain your Effectiveness at Work

Optional units:

  • Fulfill Salon Reception Duties
  • Promote Additional Products or Services to Clients

 

 

Entrance Requirements
No formal entry qualifications are required. You will, of course, need good communication skills and be comfortable about working with people.

Duration of the Course
Part time – can be arranged
2 days per week over 1 year.

Progression
• Further study may include NVQ/ SVQ Hairdressing Level 3.
• Employment within the Hairdressing Industry.
