National Vocational Qualification (NVQs)

NVQs assess the skills and abilities needed to work in a particular field of employment and are generally done at work (or between work and the training establishment). They are the most common type of qualification, widely respected by employers and popular with learners. NVQs can be used as an integral part of the benchmarking of competence and perfomance development of an organisation's staff. Over the years, we have become expert at planning and delivering assessment programmes using the NVQ framework. Our assessors are vigorous in their assessment of skills and capabilities. We offer NVQ training programmes in Weaving, Plaiting, Cutting, Colouring, Perming, Thermal Pressing and Curling in African Caribbean, Asian and European hair.

Apprenticeships

Apprentices are normally between the age of 16-24 of either gender and are paid whilst being trained at a nationally recognised level of qualification. We help organisations develop their young members of staff, to acquire the experience of working in a professional environment.

Workshops

This is available for anyone who feels that they may need extra help with either literacy and or numeracy. IT Esol support is available for learners whose first language is not English.

Courses may last anything from one day to a year depending on the nature of the course and/or the requirements of the individual or employer. Bespoke training can be delivered on the employers premises, in our training centre, or a combination of both.
